About

A seven-day, self-paced reset for people who replay conversations, worry ahead, and spend more time in their thoughts than in the day in front of them. Each 5–10 minute session combines a short story-led piece of writing, a simple reflection or journaling prompt, and one small action to carry into ordinary life. It is not about stopping thought altogether. It is about noticing when your mind has taken over, returning to what is real, and making more room for the life happening around you. Who it is for People whose minds will not switch off. If you replay conversations, rehearse things that have not happened, or find you have been absent from your own afternoon, this is written for you. What you do each day - Day 1: Root Awareness. Name what is actually bothering you beneath the repeated thoughts. - Day 2: Fact vs. Narrative. Separate what happened from the story your mind builds around it. - Day 3: Locus of Control. Sort what you can control, what you can influence, and everything else. - Day 4: Mental De-escalation. Notice imaginary conversations and scenarios, and step out of them. - Day 5: Reconnecting to the Present. Get out of your head and back into real life. - Day 6: Emotional Boundaries. Notice that other people's problems are not automatically yours to carry. - Day 7: Resolution & Perspective. Practise leaving some things unresolved. How long a session takes Each session is 5 to 10 minutes. What you receive Seven days of steps: a short piece of writing, a reflection prompt and a check-in for each day, plus a final reflection at the end. For the writing you need only a notebook or a notes app. Questions answered - Do I need to write a lot? No. Day 1 asks you to write "for two or three minutes", and says you do not need to explain or justify any of it. - Is this about stopping thinking? No. It is not about stopping thought altogether, but about noticing when your mind has taken over. - Is it therapy? No. Day 1 says "This programme is for reflection and does not replace medical or psychological advice", and suggests speaking to a qualified professional if a reflection brings up significant distress. A taste of Day 1 "Today is not about solving it all. It is about finding the sentence underneath the mental commotion."
